Grok Bots Boost Productivity

These bots automate common tasks like calendar management, appointment booking, and general task automation, with Berman noting their functionalities are transferable across various AI platforms.

An AI bot scanned Matthew Berman's three Gmail accounts and identified over $1,000 per month in fixed expenses from recurring subscriptions.

The bot drafts negotiation emails to vendors, such as Beehive, to secure discounts and also identifies unused services for cancellation, proactively reducing monthly outgoings.

This application demonstrates how AI can efficiently query government databases, as many states maintain similar systems that bots can access to find forgotten funds.

Grokbot integrates with the official Tesla fleet API using provided keys to automate various vehicle functions, according to Matthew Berman.

The bot automatically controls climate settings, heats seats and the steering wheel, and sets navigation destinations based on calendar events.

Berman stated he still manually handles high-security tasks like two-factor authentication, though he aims for the bot to autonomously retrieve his vehicle from the garage in the future.

Matthew Berman employs a bot that runs every Monday to scan for cached, stale, or redundant files, identifying 50GB of safe-to-delete data on his Mac Studio.

The bot creates a list of deletable items, such as old camera clips and OBS recordings, for user review and approval before moving them to the trash, ensuring no critical files are lost automatically.

The bot provides estimates of space freed and categorizes deletion tasks by risk level, with strict rules preventing it from deleting empty trash or moving files without explicit user approval, always displaying full file paths and reasoning for flagged items.

Matthew Berman utilizes a bot to integrate email, calendar events, and to-do lists, providing a concise morning briefing that prioritizes action items.

The bot includes context for meetings, recent emails, and notes from past sessions, while remaining read-only unless specifically directed to act, and designs its responses to be scannable and readable within one minute.

A dedicated family bot monitors incoming emails from schools and sports teams, summarizing long threads and automatically sharing relevant scheduling information in a family Telegram group chat.

The bot archives emails, adds events to the family calendar with wife-invites, and proactively reminds users about specific requirements, such as snack duty or ordering supplies via DoorDash.

Matthew Berman noted this automation saves approximately 30 minutes of administrative time per event, highlighting its efficiency in managing family logistics.

Matthew Berman's Grok bot tracks school, club, and activity commitments from emails and shared calendars, filtering out unnecessary information to summarize deadlines, payments, and event requirements.

The bot syncs details to a shared calendar, sends daily digests categorized by family member, and provides proactive 'heads up' reminders for tasks like carpooling or required supplies.

Matthew Berman uses a 'leadbot' that monitors multiple platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and Instagram, to centralize and filter professional direct messages.

The bot categorizes incoming messages into sponsorship leads or project pitches, automatically archiving spam and drafting personalized replies for legitimate business opportunities.

This allows users to approve and send replies directly from the bot interface, eliminating the need to visit each social media platform individually.

This system functions as an assistant that monitors real-time conversations for follow-up tasks, ensuring commitments are captured and acted upon.

An AI agent monitors meeting transcripts to extract key decisions, open questions, and their owners, streamlining meeting follow-ups.

The system is restricted from public posting or creating tasks without explicit user permission, maintaining control.

It integrates with Todoist to reflect completed tasks and add new ones based on meeting outcomes, ensuring the AI assistant remains updated with the user's latest priorities.

Matthew Berman's bot acts as a to-do manager, cross-referencing tasks with emails, meetings, and calendars to minimize manual input by inferring details like due dates automatically.

Rules prevent the deletion of tasks without user consent and prohibit duplicate task creation, with the system providing a brief receipt of changes during each update session.

Matthew Berman's email assistant monitors three distinct email accounts—personal, old work, and new business—categorizing and handling high-volume email traffic.

Low-risk emails, such as receipts and delivery notices, are automatically archived with a brief summary, while for mid-level risk emails, the bot proposes draft replies for user refinement.

For high-risk or complex inquiries, the bot assists in drafting necessary documents or responses, and the system can even operate via voice, enabling email management while driving.

Matthew Berman saved $1,000 annually by using a bot to analyze 12 months of electricity usage from his PG&E account, comparing available rate plans.

The bot automatically executed the switch to a more optimal plan upon approval, a workflow applicable to various utilities like gas, electric, and solar providers.

The bot proactively identifies schedule conflicts, such as overlapping events, and suggests rescheduling options.

This centralization enables other AI agents, such as an email bot, to propose meeting times during available slots and negotiate with external parties automatically.

These bots interact with other AI agents, such as the Daily Brief bot, which can suggest actions like ordering lunch during gaps between meetings, demonstrating a connected AI ecosystem.
