Taxpayers Fund Terrorist's Home Makeover

Jailed terrorist Abu Hamza's £1.7 million council home is set to receive a £70,000 makeover funded by taxpayers, a move that has drawn significant criticism.

The five-bedroom property, located in Shepherd's Bush, West London, will undergo extensive upgrades including new windows, doors, solar panels, and loft insulation.

Abu Hamza, a convicted hate cleric, is currently incarcerated, but his 67-year-old wife retains a life tenancy at the address, with Hammersmith and Fulham Council stating the work is a legal requirement for council property upgrades.

GBNews reported that two-thirds of this £12 billion is allocated to jobless claimants from overseas, indicating a growing reliance on state benefits.

Currently, one in six Universal Credit payments goes to households that include at least one foreign national, highlighting the significant impact of migrant claims on the welfare system.

The Migration Advisory Committee's estimates indicate a potential lifetime cost of £10 billion to taxpayers under existing policies, a figure that predates the most recent £12 billion annual data on welfare claims.
