Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro Launches as a Practical Robot Vacuum Cleaner with Enhanced Core Features and Lower Price

The existing Qrevo Edge 2 is for users willing to pay a premium for new features, and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow features a curved design dock.

Seoulian explains that the Qrevo 2 Pro offers excellent value for money while faithfully equipped with core functions, adding that it reveals Roborock's strategy to target a diverse range of users.

Seoulian stated that applying the suction test conducted during the Edge 2 review to the Qrevo 2 Pro showed almost no difference in cleaning performance.

This indicates that the Qrevo 2 Pro, despite being a value-for-money model, does not compromise on core cleaning performance.

The two main brushes collect hair in the center and rotate at different speeds to effectively prevent entanglement.

Thanks to this technology, users can use the vacuum cleaner without worrying about performance degradation due to hair entanglement. This is also a significant advantage in terms of long-term maintenance.

The Qrevo 2 Pro features a unique corner cleaning function not seen even in higher-end lineups. The side brush, which usually rotates counter-clockwise to sweep up dust, reverses its rotation clockwise when it detects a corner or crevice, collecting dust more effectively. Additionally, the FlexiArm Edge Mop allows for thorough mopping right up to the edges.

These functions help the robot vacuum cleaner completely clean wall corners and furniture gaps that are often missed. Seoulian rated this feature as one of the major strengths of the Qrevo 2 Pro.

Before cleaning carpeted areas in suction-only mode or carpet-first suction mode, the robot vacuum cleaner returns to the dock to detach the mop. Once carpet cleaning is complete, it returns to the dock to reattach the mop and continue with the remaining mopping tasks.

This feature prevents carpets from getting wet and maximizes the efficiency of dry vacuum cleaning, providing optimal cleaning performance in various floor environments. Seoulian noted that this feature significantly improves user convenience.

The Qrevo 2 Pro's multi-functional dock offers full-option features that are exceptional for this price range. First, it enables high-temperature mop self-cleaning, aiding in hygienic maintenance. After cleaning, it dries the mop with 45-degree warm air to prevent odors and bacterial growth. Furthermore, the integrated cleaning tray has been improved to enhance cleaning convenience, and a soaking mode allows the mop to be thoroughly soaked in water before washing for an even cleaner result.

Finally, the dock base can be detached, making maintenance easier. Seoulian emphasized that this dock feature configuration is a significant advantage of the Qrevo 2 Pro.

The key reason the Qrevo 2 Pro could be launched as a value-for-money model despite its excellent performance lies in its obstacle avoidance method. This model uses a front-facing structured light system to detect and avoid obstacles in its cleaning path. This differs from the AI camera-based method of higher-end lineups in that it does not directly recognize objects, which allowed for a reduction in production costs.

Seoulian explained that this difference in method affected the product's price.

The structured light-based obstacle avoidance system can generally avoid items placed on the floor without issues, such as shoes, chairs, trash cans, and potted plants. However, it may have difficulty recognizing and avoiding low, irregularly shaped objects like cables or unfolded socks. Seoulian advised that to compensate for this limitation, moving low objects on the floor before scheduling the robot vacuum cleaner to clean does not cause significant inconvenience in actual use.

In conclusion, it explains that both value for money and cleaning performance can be achieved with a small amount of effort from the user.

Seoulian evaluated that Roborock made significant efforts to further enhance core features and lower the price when using the Qrevo 2 Pro. They added that it would be an excellent choice for consumers who prioritize budget but do not want a compromise on cleaning performance. Specifically, they revealed that the price would be around 900,000 won based on the home shopping launch, emphasizing that it is a very reasonable price considering all the features and specifications introduced in the video.

The Qrevo 2 Pro is expected to have strong competitiveness in the robot vacuum cleaner market as a model that offers powerful performance and convenient features while reducing the price burden.
