The AI Era: What Is Humanity's Role?

Silicon Valley Developer, who recently garnered attention for his candid remarks in a Dtimes interview, dedicated himself to research during his 1 to 2 months of parental leave in Korea.

During his leave, he intensively utilized GPT Astra and Opus 5.5, and his candid remarks in the Dtimes interview caused a significant stir.

Opus 5.5 shows higher task completeness compared to GPT-Astra and particularly excels at generating visual results.

As concerns grow that human roles may shrink due to the dramatic advancement of AI performance, interest in AI utilization beyond simple repetitive tasks has increased.

As AI achieves results in various areas like text and video, Alex's concerns about the potential replacement of human labor have deepened.

He is exploring human roles, focusing on agent utilization, AI limitations, and skill enhancement in the era of superintelligence.

He noted that in the past, optimization tasks to make a 30-minute service faster were rarely done, but the models are so good now that he tries them whenever the thought crosses his mind.

However, a few weeks ago, after Opus 5.5 and GPT-Astra were released, when he performed the same task with only a zero-shot prompt, it showed astonishing performance, cutting the 30-minute task to 5 minutes.

As model performance improves, he is now re-attempting 'low-hanging fruit' areas that were previously abandoned due to technical limitations.

Career Hacker Alex believes that shorts made with previous models lacked a creative 'wow factor' because they merely repeated established patterns.

After the introduction of Opus 5.5, motion graphics and storytelling abilities dramatically improved, making daily life a benchmark test.

When AI breaks free from established frameworks and demonstrates 'room for creativity', it produces results that genuinely surprise people.

In particular, as Astra and Opus 5.5 have become very smart and adept at using Blender, there's a sense that video models are benefiting, demonstrating that video models can intelligently leverage tools like Blender to maximize human creativity.

Beyond simple text generation, human sensibility and intervention are essential in creative domains.

The quality of the output is determined by the user's unique taste, making proactive human design, using AI as a complementary tool, crucial.

Improved Blender scripting capabilities have enabled the construction of virtual studios using 3D-based deterministic modeling, beyond simple video generation.

Career Hacker Alex enhanced visual aesthetics by implementing staking behavior in Blender and has now also adopted AI for website renewal and 3D studio construction.

There's a significant difference between merely consuming trending information on social media and actually implementing the technology yourself.

Practical expertise and technical understanding are built through the process of combining various tools to discover new workflows.
