Bardella Accused of Antisemitic Remarks

Jordan Bardella completely denied the allegations, stating he never made the antisemitic remarks reported by Mediapart.

He characterized the report as a 'massive fabrication' aimed at disrupting the RN campaign. Marine Le Pen also refuted the journalist's questions from Mediapart, calling the statements 'false' and a 'despicable trick (barbouzerie).'

The Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions (CRIF) noted that these allegations demonstrate the limits of the National Rally's (RN) 'de-demonization' image improvement strategy.

In response to this situation, Jordan Bardella officially filed a defamation lawsuit against Mediapart. RN deputy Thomas Ménagé asserted Bardella's innocence, mentioning his attendance at an international conference on combating antisemitism in Israel.
