Former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor Shawn Ryan discusses his spiritual journey, the dark side of psychedelics, and the consequences of his outspoken faith.
He revealed undergoing multiple exorcisms as a result of these encounters.
Ryan emphasized that the events he has witnessed are undeniable, shaping his current worldview.
The gravity of these experiences underpins his spiritual journey and subsequent decisions.
Shawn Ryan detailed the profound significance of Operation Red Wings, identifying it as the biggest loss in SEAL history at the time.
He recounted how a sniper element on a mountaintop, surveilling a high-value terrorist, had its hide compromised by a goat herder, leading to a devastating sequence of events.
Following this mission, Ryan’s platoon transitioned to training conventional units in Iraq, a shift that marked a change in their operational focus.
The memory of the mission and its casualties left an indelible mark on him and his fellow servicemen.
He suggested that these guests might be strategically introduced to deliver specific narrative-shifting clips.
The perceived strategy involves using extensive long-form interviews to extract a single, impactful soundbite designed for viral dissemination.
Shawn Ryan alleged that intelligence operations are conducted through individuals acting as 'moles' inside major technology companies.
He posited that platforms like YouTube and Meta could be subtly manipulated to suppress certain topics, such as terrorism.
The claim suggests that employees at these platforms might be facilitating covert influence campaigns while appearing to perform regular job duties.
Shawn Ryan openly admitted a significant shift in his opinion of Donald Trump since the election, expressing deep dissatisfaction.
He conveyed frustration that Trump's current actions appear to contradict his original campaign promises.
Concerns were raised regarding ongoing foreign conflicts and the potential compromise of U.S. military interests for the benefit of other nations.
Ryan indicated that the trajectory of events has left him unhappy with the current state of affairs.
I'm not really happy about anything that's happening right now. I think he's totally gone against what he said he was going to do.
He questioned the ethical implications of sending financial aid abroad while significant domestic poverty persists, pointing to situations like those in New York.
The project intends to hold elected officials accountable for the conditions within their respective districts.
Ryan expressed frustration that politicians have, in his view, abandoned their constituents, prioritizing foreign aid over local needs.
With an audience numbering in the millions, Ryan avoids airing guests who present speculative theories without a grasp of basic facts, pointing to an episode he withheld because a guest inconsistently referenced 'COVID' and 'SARS' patents.
He firmly stated his refusal to air content that could lead viewers to make harmful medical decisions based on inaccurate information.
Ryan actively avoids featuring guests who promote conspiracy theories without a foundational understanding of basic facts.
Given his audience of millions, he prioritizes factual accuracy over speculative narratives to prevent potentially dangerous misinformation.
Shawn Ryan detailed his strict editorial standard, including his refusal to release episodes that involve teaching methods to defeat a polygraph.
He emphasized that he consciously avoids publishing harmful or classified content purely for increased viewership.
While acknowledging that mistakes can occur in content production, Ryan prioritizes integrity over sensationalism.
This commitment ensures that his platform does not inadvertently disclose sensitive information that could be misused.
Shawn Ryan recounted a close encounter in Medellín where his doorman, Freddy, warned him that police were asking for his information.
He discovered that authorities possessed photographic evidence of him distributing cash at a homeless camp in Barrio Antioquia.
Reacting swiftly, Ryan performed a surveillance detection route (SDR) and successfully fled the country within 12 hours.
His primary intelligence source during this critical time was his network of favors with the building staff.
And so I went up and scrubbed myself of everything. uh kind of scanned around to see if I could pick up, you know, who was who was looking at me, who was watching. I'm pretty sure I saw it and got rid of everything.
Shawn Ryan identified his friend’s struggle with opiate addiction as a major catalyst for cleaning up his own life, realizing he needed to set a sober example.
This realization propelled Ryan into his own journey of therapy and self-improvement.
Despite his profound efforts, his friend eventually succumbed to his addiction years later, a poignant outcome.
This period marked a significant departure from the extreme lifestyle Ryan had maintained in Colombia, redirecting his focus towards personal wellness.
Shawn Ryan spent a year working in the psychedelic industry after his first company, focusing on mental health applications.
He initially studied Ibogaine for its significant efficacy in treating addiction, observing its therapeutic potential.
His personal journey led him to seek individual therapeutic treatment to manage business-related stress and cultivate a greater presence for his family.
This marked a shift from his professional involvement to a personal application of mental health strategies.
During this event, he felt an overwhelming sense of total emptiness and abandonment, perceiving no presence of God or Christ.
A Marine veteran who witnessed the session confirmed seeing Ryan's body contorting uncontrollably and unnaturally, underscoring the severity of the experience.
Shawn Ryan posited that while psychedelics may offer benefits, they also open individuals to a spiritual realm that humans were never meant to access.
He suggested that this heightened vulnerability allows malevolent forces to gain access to the individual, leading to unforeseen consequences.
Ryan framed his struggles following his psychedelic experiences as supernatural, directly linking them to the spiritual access gained.
This perspective underscores his cautionary stance on the use of such substances.
Shawn Ryan critiqued the widespread lack of open discourse concerning negative psychedelic experiences, emphasizing that not all outcomes are positive.
He suggested that psychedelics might unveil a 'forbidden realm' that humans are intended to keep veiled, challenging common perceptions.
Ryan clarified that he is not definitively asserting that psychedelics caused his issues, but rather that they acted as a significant trigger point.
He insisted that people need to understand both sides of psychedelic use to make informed decisions about their own experiences.
Shawn Ryan clarified that his spiritual situation is best categorized as 'oppression' rather than 'possession,' explaining the difference.
He defined oppression as environmental and life-altering impacts that occur while the individual maintains control of their body and mind.
Ryan emphasized that his ongoing spiritual process is collaborative, involving continued work with priests to address these influences.
Shawn Ryan described himself as having been ambivalent about religion previously, despite growing up Catholic.
He pinpointed a series of guests on his show as the primary catalyst for his deepening curiosity about faith.
This journey culminated in his baptism on Easter in 2024, marking a significant turning point in his spiritual life.
That's where that's where the seed was was planted. You know, I grew up, like I said, I grew up Catholic, but that's what started happening to me is all these people started coming on.
Shawn Ryan revealed that a long-term life insurance advertiser, with whom his team had recently discussed deepening their relationship, cancelled their contract.
The advertiser cited a policy against advertising on faith-based content as the reason for their withdrawal.
Ryan interpreted this as an external attempt to discourage his content, but asserted that his moral convictions outweigh the financial loss of advertising revenue.
