Tesla Unveils the 2027 Model YL Premium Launch Series: A Larger, More Comfortable Electric SUV

Tesla has introduced the 2027 Model YL Premium Launch Series, available at an introductory price of $61,990 for a limited period. This special launch series allows customers to choose any paint color, interior color, and wheel option without additional cost. The Model YL is presented as a larger variant of the standard Model Y, emphasizing enhanced space and features.

The Model YL boasts an EPA estimated range of 325 miles, powered by an 83 to 84 kWh battery. It has a top speed of 125 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. These specifications position the Model YL as a capable electric SUV, balancing range and performance for everyday use.

A significant addition to the Model YL is its Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, which can output up to 2.4 kilowatts with the appropriate adapter. Furthermore, the Model YL launches with Vehicle-to-Home functionality, allowing it to integrate with a Tesla Powerwall for home backup. This feature requires a Powerwall, which provides 13.5 kWh of usable capacity, enabling the vehicle to serve as an emergency power source for a household.

The interior of the Model YL features a six-seat configuration, including two second-row captain's chairs. A notable convenience is that all four of these seats are power-folding, allowing them to fold down completely.
