4-5 Views? How to Upload Videos Correctly

Active Rahul explained that the correct upload process is necessary for videos to be exposed in browse features, recommendations, the home tab, and YouTube search results.

The correct upload process allows videos to be exposed through various channels such as browse features, recommendations, the home tab, and YouTube search results, thus securing views.

Click the plus (+) icon at the bottom to select a device video and proceed to distinguish between Shorts and long videos.

By clicking the plus (+) icon at the bottom to select a video saved on your device, you can choose to upload either Shorts or a Long Video.

Many users make mistakes at this stage by not choosing the correct option.

Checking the channel name and setting the title and mentions (@) on the video upload screen is crucial.

Correctly completing detailed settings such as Visibility, Audience, Tag, and Description is essential for videos to be optimized in search results and recommendation feeds.

There are four visibility settings: Public, Members-only, Private, and Unlisted.

Among these, 'Unlisted' is recommended before completing detailed settings during the video upload phase, as only people with the link can view it. 'Public' makes the video immediately available to everyone, so it's best not to select it before setup is complete.

You can specify the video release date and time through the 'Schedule' option in YouTube Studio settings.

The video automatically switches from 'Private' to 'Public' at the specified time, allowing for convenient video management.

Immediately after uploading a video, delete the default file name (e.g., date) and enter the actual content title.

The title serves as a keyword closely related to search ranking, so it's important to appropriately combine Korean and English keywords that people are likely to search for.

A title containing accurate keywords helps the video appear in search results and as recommended videos.

Writing titles by mixing Korean and English can lead to search engine optimization (SEO).

For example, include 'video', 'how to upload video', 'How to upload video' to match the video content. The title should be within a 100-character limit, and you must click the save button after setting it for the changes to apply.

When uploading a video, you must select whether it is made for kids under the 'Audience' section. If it's not for kids, select 'No, it's not made for kids' to make it viewable by all.

In age restriction settings, not using the 'Restrict to viewers under 18' feature expands the video's exposure, allowing it to reach more viewers.

Product tagging rights are activated when a channel reaches 500 subscribers, 3,000 watch hours, or 3 million views.

You can tag products shown in the video (e.g., a microphone) and receive a commission if viewers purchase them; you can also use the search function to find products to sell and add them to your video.

First, copy and paste the video title into the description box. Then, take a screenshot of the title and upload it to ChatGPT.

You can efficiently write description text by asking ChatGPT to generate SEO-based descriptions that are well-exposed in search, browse, and recommendation features.

Copy the optimized description text generated by ChatGPT and paste it into the description box in YouTube Studio.

This process automatically creates a description including hashtags, which can help with the video's search exposure.

You can also set up the automatic dubbing feature.

If your YouTube channel meets the monetization requirements, you can activate Monetization and indicate whether it includes paid promotions in this menu.

There is also a method of using the 'Invite a collaborator' feature for collaborations. This feature links two channels to aim for increased views.

It is mandatory to select whether AI technology is used in the video (Yes/No). This is a measure to ensure transparency for AI-generated content.

Select a category that matches the nature of the video (e.g., Science/Technology, Vlogs, Education).

Request tag generation from ChatGPT to secure keywords within 500 characters, and immediately paste the copied tags into the tag field to optimize video search.

In this case, delete some tags and save again, and it will complete successfully, allowing you to upload the video.

It is advantageous to always keep this feature on to diversify video traffic sources and reach more viewers.

You can use ChatGPT to attach a photo and request the generation of a thumbnail with your desired title.

Download the generated thumbnail image, apply it in the 'Custom thumbnail' menu of YouTube Studio, and save it to complete all video upload preparations.
