Controversy Over Eating During Fasting Prayer

A debate erupted among worshipers regarding the possibility of eating before the fast ended, while the fasting prayer was to continue until tomorrow. According to the original schedule, the prayer was supposed to last until the next day.

Participants were confused about whether eating was possible while prayer had not yet ended and demanded a clear explanation from the organizers.

The organizers announced that the fast would end at 4 PM (saa 1000), and participants could eat from then on. However, they added that prayer would continue until the next day even after eating.

This means that the period of concurrent fasting and prayer lasts until tomorrow, leaving some participants in a situation where they must continue their spiritual practice even after the fast ends.

Participants performed intense prayers for long hours, speaking in tongues and exorcising evil spirits, among other spiritual rituals. This process caused significant physical fatigue.

One participant complained that they were too exhausted to endure their current state and felt a conflict between the desire to eat and the fasting situation.

This emphasized that eating is essential for physical maintenance in situations where physical difficulties arise due to prolonged fasting.
