Jang Dong-hyuk Criticizes Government Cabinet Reshuffle and Election Irregularities

People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk changed his route to directly check the situation at Olympic Park, instead of attending the previously scheduled parliamentary floor leader's speech. He stated that he felt the need to personally confirm various situations, such as police entering Olympic Park and whether ballot boxes and papers were preserved. Leader Jang explained that he turned his car around on the way to the National Assembly and headed to Olympic Park.

At the Olympic Park ballot box storage site, leader Jang Dong-hyuk was told there were no additional entry points besides the external door, but he questioned this answer. He specifically confirmed that the National Election Commission had not installed separate CCTVs inside the space where the ballot boxes were stored. Leader Jang expressed concerns about the possibility of evidence contamination during the long 95-day storage period and emphasized the need for thorough initial verification and investigation.

Leader Jang Dong-hyuk conveyed that the special prosecutor promised to manage the site and prevent evidence destruction. He demanded a parallel investigation to thoroughly check all items, including IT equipment, that were removed by sports association officials, to ensure no election-related items were among them. Leader Jang requested a thorough investigation to resolve all suspicions and conflicts through this opportunity, and stated that the special prosecutor also responded by promising to uphold this commitment.

Leader Jang Dong-hyuk analyzed that changes in new media are driving political change. He explained that in the past, traditional media unilaterally delivered information and people passively received it, but with the emergence of new media, in-depth information access became possible. He stated that through various methods such as comments and sponsorships, two-way communication has transformed the environment into one where news is co-created, and warned that politicians who fail to adapt to the new media environment will be left behind.

He pointed out that appointments were made by re-employing individuals who had worked together during his time in Seongnam City and Gyeonggi Province. He emphasized that personnel changes without a change in direction cannot succeed, and strongly criticized the current reshuffle as betraying the public's expectations.

He interpreted it as appointing someone who would faithfully follow the president's wishes, regardless of all other controversies. He added that various controversies, such as suspicions of his brother's lobbying, could obscure the essence, and serious allegations, including suspicions of failed drug approval and complicity in stock manipulation, are being raised.

Leader Jang Dong-hyuk strongly criticized Yong Hye-in as the most unsuitable person for the Minister of Gender Equality and Family position. He referred to Yong's past history of organizational activities that sought a communist revolution, arguing that considering all her past actions and the organizations she belonged to, she is absolutely not someone who should be appointed to that position. He raised questions about whether this was an intention to solidify a leftist cartel and pointed out that Yong's appointment is a major problem for the direction of state affairs. Leader Jang concluded that considering Yong's past activities and current legislative work, her qualifications as Minister of Gender Equality and Family are severely lacking.

He expressed a strong stance that Kim is not someone who should be sitting in the nominee's seat for a hearing. This emphasizes that the various allegations surrounding Kim are matters requiring judicial judgment beyond mere verification.

He added that this claim came from a Democratic Party official who mistakenly thought the microphone was off, but he believes it is closer to the truth precisely because it was said off-air. Leader Jang strongly raised suspicions that the influence of a specific individual, outside the official appointment system, is excessively at play.

He mentioned not only Kim Seung-won and Yong Hye-in but also the nominees for Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Minister of National Defense, making clear his policy to identify and reject unqualified candidates. He emphasized the need to conduct the hearings well first, suggesting that he will meticulously verify the qualifications and abilities of the nominees.

He emphasized that the public is shedding tears because of this, and advocated for a parliamentary investigation and special prosecutor. He also stressed the need for practical solutions to urgent livelihood issues such as youth unemployment and high inflation. Leader Jang criticized the current government's economic policies for making people's lives even more difficult.

Leader Jang Dong-hyuk claimed that there will be far more crimes accumulated during the president's term, leading to many more after their retirement, raising the issue of the president's legal responsibility. He particularly criticized attempts to dismiss indictments and amend the constitution for re-election, pointing out these as attempts by the president to evade their own wrongdoing. Leader Jang warned that additional legal responsibility would follow after the president's retirement.

Leader Jang Dong-hyuk declared that the opposition party would directly visit the livelihood sites that the ruling party and president are afraid to go to. He pointed out that the president and government are avoiding communication with the public and presented a strategy for the opposition to directly listen to the people's voices and develop policy alternatives. This is interpreted as the opposition's intention to increase engagement with the public through field-oriented activities and highlight differences from the government.

He mentioned that it initially led to a simple suicide, then changed to the stance that the cause of death was difficult to determine, and that a search and seizure appeared to have taken place today. Leader Jang pointed out issues with the fairness of the police investigation and initial response, emphasizing that a thorough and transparent investigation must be conducted.
