Broker 'Oppagate' Accused of Widespread Lobbying

There are indications that they sought profits through ties with the new power elite, aligning with the transition of power.

Then-interim leader Han Dong-hoon characterized these incidents as 'Democratic Party Oppagate,' emphasizing a connection with the Democratic Party.

This indicates Yang Su-jin's attempt to exert undue influence on a government agency regarding a specific project, raising suspicions of intervention for personal gain using the Public Procurement Service.

He has been known as a key figure since former President Park Geun-hye's term.

Notably, Gu Sun-seong was also questioned during the Choi Soon-sil scandal, and suspicions of his deep involvement with political circles have continuously been raised.

She mentioned not only people close to Lee Jae-myung but also Lim Ho-young, former Deputy Commander of the ROK/US Combined Forces Command, known as a four-star general/minister, or President, of the Korea Youth Federation.

Yang Su-jin openly boasted about her network, spanning both ruling and opposition parties, stating, "I'm close with all the uncles from Lee Jae-myung's side, but there's also a four-star general/minister at the Youth Federation now," based on her friendship with Lim Ho-young, President of the Youth Federation. This reveals that Yang Su-jin attempted to exert influence across the entire political spectrum, not just as a simple lobbyist.

He built his career by holding major positions within the military.

Former Deputy Commander Lim Ho-young is known to be an alumnus and senior of President Yoon Suk-yeol from Choongam High School. This background suggests the possibility that he maintains close ties with the current power elite.

In this photo, the two are seen standing side-by-side, looking at the camera.

This photo serves as evidence that Yang Su-jin had direct contact with high-ranking officials, including the President, further intensifying suspicions about her extensive network and influence.
