Venus's names changed with observation time
Venus was not visible in the middle of the night but was observed only at dawn and in the evening, appearing in the east at dawn and in the west in the evening.
Ancient people, lacking astronomical understanding, did not know that the star appearing at dawn and the star appearing in the evening were the same celestial body, leading them to give it multiple names. Venus seen at dawn was called 'Saebyeol' (new star) or 'Gyemyeongseong' (cockcrow star), implying positive meanings of approaching morning and creation.
