DOJ Intensifies Crackdown on Non-Citizen Voter Fraud
The Department of Justice is increasing its efforts to combat voter fraud by non-citizens, with a recent arrest of a Nigerian national in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This individual was apprehended for illegally registering to vote in the 2018 election as part of a broader operation targeting non-citizens participating in federal elections. Seven individuals have been charged under this specific operation.
Homeland Security Investigations, the arresting agency, considers accessing state voter rolls to verify citizenship status a standard security measure.
This initiative underscores an ongoing commitment to upholding election integrity by ensuring only eligible citizens cast ballots.
