Allegations of Nomination Irregularities Targeting Rep. Kim Won-yi Reignited

Rep. Kim Won-yi, along with Chairman Jeong Cheong-rae, has been identified as a key figure responsible for irregularities in local election nominations. As chairman of the Jeonnam Provincial Party Committee, Rep. Kim is accused of appointing his close associates to the nomination screening committee and leading biased screenings. Furthermore, criticism has been raised about his political conduct, such as disregarding his duty to refrain from intervening in the party leader election during the national convention and joining Kim Min-seok's candidate camp after resigning.

Rep. Kim Won-yi has been criticized for exhibiting a double standard by refusing to disclose the fact-finding report and the nomination screening results, which led to his own disciplinary action, while simultaneously threatening expulsion to those who demand their disclosure.

Rep. Kim Won-yi has been criticized for making decisions unilaterally without communicating with civic groups and citizens. Due to ongoing controversies and political incompetence, demands have been made for Rep. Kim Won-yi to cease his involvement and resign.
