Busan Democratic Party, 'Council of Six' Controversy

It has been claimed that there was a 'Council of Six' scenario to establish Byun Sung-wan's leadership in the Busan City Chapter. This scenario includes the content that six individuals, including Miki Rourke, Park Jae-beom, Kim Doo-young, Park Young-ah, and Byun Sung-wan, systematically orchestrated events for Supreme Council member Chung Cheong-rae's re-election. The interviewee stated, "In the case of Busan, they systematically set the stage for Chung Cheong-rae's re-election. That stage involved six individuals – Miki Rourke, Park Jae-beom, Kim Doo-young, Park Young-ah, Byun Sung-wan, and Jo Yul from Haeundae – orchestrating it by deciding to make Byun Sung-wan the city chapter chairman and starting to use Byun Sung-wan as a host."

It was alleged that former Chairman Yoo Dong-cheol's cut-off was the work of the 'Council of Six.' The interviewee stated, "Yoo Dong-cheol's cut-off itself was the work of these six people." This is analyzed as the starting point of the internal conflict within the Busan Democratic Party.

Assemblywoman Moon criticized those without public or party positions, saying, "The party cannot be dragged around forever by bare-faced nobodies who can't even hold public or party office." Her remarks are interpreted as playing a role in connecting the central party and the Busan City Chapter as a key figure in the Chung Cheong-rae system.

Kim Doo-young stated, "Brother, you're a special envoy, but I'm the special envoy chief. And it was discussed with the party leader like that." Miki Rourke was identified as the coordinator who oversaw and directed the 'Council of Six.' Allegations were raised that the Busan City Chapter was operated through private channels rather than official ones.

The interviewee mentioned, "Kim Doo-hyun gave instructions to Byeong-su, and all sorts of stories were coming out, like 'Doo-hyun writes like this, and Cha Sang is too much, so that won't work.'" Claims also emerged that Kim Doo-young and the secretary-general discussed and decided on nomination practicalities.

He refuted, saying, "District Mayor Park has never visited me. I don't know who is making such false claims, but no one from District Mayor candidate Park Jae-beom's office has ever come to our office." He also dismissed reports related to the 'Council of Six' as groundless.

He asked, "PD, do you know who those six or seven people in the media are?" Cha Sang-ho admitted that he was involved in the list of individuals who supported Byun Sung-wan as City Chapter Chairman.

The list includes a total of seven people: Byun Sung-wan, Kim Sun-bae, Park Young-ah, Moon, Kim Doo-young, and Park Jae-beom. Cha Sang-ho stated, "Byun Sung. Then there's Kim Sun-bae. Kim. Then Park Young-ah. Moon. Then Kim Doo-young. How many is that now? Park Jae-beom. So that's seven." He emphasized that Lee Sang-ho is not included in the list.

Cha Sang-ho said, "They made a city chapter chairman, but in our Democratic Party, in the proportional representation process, Joo Chang-geun, his candidate, lost, and now these 'six people,' like Byun Sung-wan and Park Jae-beom, didn't help, so he lost." This led to a deepening of existing internal organizational conflicts.
