Former lawmaker Son Hye-won called for an end to unnecessary discussions about writer Yoo Si-min's remarks and requested a cautious attitude toward the Cho Kuk Innovation Party.
He stated that the Democratic Party is not fulfilling its role as a progressive party and even claimed that after the party convention, the Democratic Party is transforming into a 'monarchy'.
She believed that merely covering Yoo's statements gives him unnecessary attention and further encourages his arguments.
Son determined that Yoo's claims are no longer worth discussing and advocated for a strategy of 'indifference' and 'ignoring' to avoid unnecessary controversy and reduce his influence.
She argued that if his statements continue to be reported and mentioned, he will continue to speak, so not bringing him up at all is the fundamental solution.
Assemblyman Jang pointed out that the questions were not pre-announced and stated his desire to cautiously conclude discussions related to the Cho Kuk Innovation Party.
He specifically mentioned the possibility of disciplinary action from the central party, expressing concern that he could become an independent if he misspoke. This indicates a situation where it is difficult to express honest opinions due to the party atmosphere and political pressure.
Assemblyman Jang maintained his personal relationship with former lawmaker Son Hye-won but showed extreme caution in official statements related to the party. He clearly stated his position, requesting restraint on sensitive questions.
