Trump, Bolling Criticize NYC Mayor Mamdani's 9/11 Conduct

A petition garnered 110,000 signatures, explicitly informing Mamdani he was not welcome at the solemn occasion.

Despite the overwhelming sentiment from the victim's families, Mamdani chose to attend the ceremony, leading to further tensions surrounding his contested presence.

Critics suggest that certain younger generations within the DSA believe the terrorists were the 'good guys,' viewing the World Trade Center as a symbol of flawed financial capital markets.

This perspective leads to criticism that Mamdani's ideology does not represent the values and memory associated with 9/11, creating a perceived ideological divide. These concerns contribute to the broader perception that Mamdani sides with sentiments opposing traditional American values.

Trump described their laughter as 'terrible' and 'inappropriate' for such a solemn event.

He specifically highlighted the combined laughter of Mamdani and Ocasio-Cortez as a particularly troubling aspect of their conduct during a very important part of the ceremony.

The hosts strongly criticized Mayor Zohran Mamdani for his actions during the 9/11 memorial ceremony, arguing that he failed to show proper respect. They suggested his behavior was a significant misstep, especially given the gravity of the occasion.

His conduct was viewed as a further failure of his constituents and those seeking to honor the survivors and victims of 9/11, particularly in light of his past association with Ramzi Kassem, a counsel for an al-Qaeda operative.

Concerns intensified over Mayor Mamdani's alleged actions involving a commemorative 9/11 pen, which he reportedly handed to Ramzi Kassem. Kassem is noted for having represented an individual with direct ties to the 9/11 hijackers, specifically a brother-in-law of one of the perpetrators.

This incident sparked questions about Mamdani's judgment and his understanding of the appropriate tone for commemorating the tragedy. Guests on the show suggested these actions might indicate either a profound ignorance or something 'far more sinister and dark,' reflecting a rejection of American values.

They raised alarms about the implications of an official appearing to honor someone connected to the attacks during a memorial for victims. The perceived slight to the memory of 9/11 victims and their families caused significant outrage.

The current situation is described as a 'mess,' with only a trickle of products moving through.

September's shipping volumes were less than half of what was observed in August, indicating a drastic reduction in maritime trade. Non-Chinese flag vessels face extreme difficulties and severe delays, while Chinese vessels also experience disruptions.

Even if a diplomatic breakthrough with Iran were to occur, free-flowing trade through the Strait of Hormuz would not immediately resume. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright acknowledged that the oil flow would not return to normal anytime soon, indicating a long recovery period for the logistics chain.

The industry faces significant physical infrastructure constraints that extend beyond political obstacles, hindering the quick resumption of trade. Public messaging from government officials often fails to convey the complex reality of these logistical challenges.

Freight rates for large crude carriers have dramatically increased, with the cost for a single voyage now reaching approximately $30 million. This figure represents a roughly 7.5-fold increase compared to the pre-war rate of $3 million to $4 million per voyage.

This surge in shipping costs translates to an additional expense of about $15 per barrel solely for freight. The heightened costs are largely attributed to the increased risks associated with war-related activities.

Currently, the US refining capacity is operating at its maximum, limiting the industry's ability to absorb or offset these escalating freight costs. The constrained capacity exacerbates the financial strain on the supply chain.

Democrats are reportedly seeking justifications for the impeachment of former President Donald Trump. While they appear intent on the action, the primary challenge lies in finding solid grounds to legitimize it.

Discussions have centered on arguments of executive overreach, particularly articulated by figures like Jamie Raskin. The debate often employs metaphors, such as the East Wing/West Wing dynamic, to illustrate perceived power imbalances.

He cited instances such as a president declaring war without explicit congressional approval as a significant overreach of executive authority.

Raskin also pointed to continuous defiance of Congress regarding the appropriation of money, arguing that presidents have stolen spending power from the legislative branch. These actions, in his view, constitute grounds for impeachment based on a pattern of presidential overreach.

The arguments underscore a broader concern about the erosion of congressional checks and balances over the executive branch. These justifications highlight a recurring tension between presidential prerogatives and legislative authority.

During this period, approximately 380 alligators were successfully caught.

Bolling described the extensive process involved in transforming alligator hides into leather goods. Professional skinning and curing for such products typically takes about two years, highlighting the labor-intensive nature of the industry.
