The choice depends on whether the goal is to kickstart high-level discussions or achieve widespread adoption.

A strong advocacy exists for building 'golden bricks' rather than rigid 'golden paths' in platform engineering. This approach helps avoid the pitfalls of overly opinionated stacks, such as Heroku or Cloud Foundry, which often limit flexibility and customization.
