A Sad Monologue of One Awaiting Death

The narrator expresses tragic emotions, longing for the final moment amidst the pain of life, by uttering, "বইসে আছি মরণের আশায়" (I am sitting, hoping for death).

The act of putting a flower garland around the neck signifies the last moment of life. The earnest question of whether one will be remembered encapsulates the lonely emotion of someone facing death.

"মালা আমার গলায় ঝুলবে কি দোয়া করো গলায় ফুলের মালা আমার গলায় ঝুলবে কি দোয়া" (Will the garland hang on my neck, please pray, will the flower garland hang on my neck, please pray) Through these sentences, the feeling of anticipating the end of life is revealed.

The song expresses a deep sense of loss regarding the situation where the closest person has now become a stranger.

Through the question, "হয়ে গেলে আমি মন কে হইলো যে তোর মন হয়ে গেলে আমি মন কে হইলো যে জরে রে আপন" (If I become the mind, whose mind will be yours, if I become the mind, who will be close to me?), it expresses the reality where even the right to one's own attachment has disappeared and a fundamental 고민 about who owns the heart.

The entire song is enveloped in the bitter feelings of watching a lover leave hand-in-hand with another and the isolated emotion of continuously awaiting death.
