Philippines Expands Coast Guard with U.S. Patrol Boats

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has significantly expanded its fleet with the transfer of two 27-meter Marine Protector-class vessels from the United States on August 20, 2026. These boats, formerly known as the USCGC Marlin and Blofin, are scheduled to arrive in Manila in October and will be commissioned as BRP Pagasa (PATS 2701) and BRP Patag (PATS 2702), bolstering the PCG's operational capabilities.
