A key reform involves replacing NCEA with a clear grading system from A+ to E, incorporating exams in every subject.

This shift focuses on mastering content and subject knowledge over merely collecting credits, introducing new industry-developed vocational subjects into the high school curriculum to better align education with workforce needs.

Christopher Luxon asserted that prosperity is driven by the private sector, not the government, highlighting farmers, growers, dairy owners, tradespeople, rocket companies, and filmmakers as key drivers. To support this, his party plans to eliminate slow consents and complex regulations.

The National Party aims to replace the Resource Management Act (RMA) to cut the number of required consents in half, with Chris Bishop leading significant planning reforms to reduce barriers for businesses and empower economic growth.

This includes limiting farm-to-forest conversions, which can impact agricultural productivity.

Additionally, the National Party intends to keep agriculture out of the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) to maintain the sector's viability and protect its productive capacity, ensuring farmers can continue their work without undue regulatory burden.

Luxon noted the completion of an Indian FTA in record time and the New Zealand-EU FTA brought into force ahead of schedule.

Further trade successes include the completion of a Middle East/UAE FTA and the successful conclusion of negotiations with the Six Nation GCC, demonstrating a proactive approach to opening new markets for New Zealand goods and services.

Christopher Luxon highlighted New Zealand's significant innovation potential, noting the country had the third most space launches globally last year. He pointed to examples such as iPad-based farm management systems and the export of red kiwi fruit as demonstrations of unique strengths.

The National Party aims to commercialize university-born startup ideas, acknowledging that while New Zealanders have great ideas, converting and commercializing them into highly skilled, high-paying jobs has been a challenge. The goal is to fix this by adopting systems that bridge science and business more effectively.

This initiative includes exploring an Irish-style system to better connect scientific research with commercial opportunities, fostering an environment where innovative ideas can thrive and contribute significantly to economic growth.

Luxon emphasized the importance of translating these innovations into tangible economic benefits, creating a robust ecosystem for high-tech industries and skilled employment within New Zealand.
