Lee Jin-sook Denounces Democratic Party… “Infringement of Freedom of Expression”

Citing former Assemblywoman Im Su-kyung's testimony, she revealed that Assemblyman Kim Min-seok had women on both sides, laughing and talking, while a Mr. Park was dancing the blues with a woman, and a senior Mr. Song was singing with a woman, holding her shoulder.

She argued that since public taxes are used for compensation, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, a national institution, should naturally be responsible for selecting the persons of merit.

She pointed out that a 10% bonus point has a significant impact in an exam where success or failure can be decided by a mere 0.1 point difference, and the non-disclosure of the list of recipients of such benefits is problematic.

Assemblywoman Lee Jin-sook stated that Assemblyman Kim Min-seok is trying to expel her from the National Assembly. She claimed that the Democratic Party, realizing that expulsion would be difficult with only 161 seats, is attempting to pass the 'Lee Jin-sook Suspension of Duties Act'. She emphasized that while expulsion requires 200 seats, the suspension of duties act can be passed with only 150 seats, led by the Democratic Party, and explained the situation of the opposition party's resolution passing.

She stressed the need to create an environment where young generations can raise questions and debate about May 18.

She explained that in terms of location conditions such as power, water, and labor, Gumi, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk are far superior. Nevertheless, she interpreted the exclusion of TK as a retaliatory measure by Representative Lee Jae-myung against the region that gave him the fewest votes.

She criticized the act of sacralizing May 18, an event from 46 years ago, to the point where it cannot even be criticized, as undermining the essence of democracy.

Assemblywoman Lee Jin-sook once again raised the issue of Assemblyman Kim Min-seok's inappropriate drinking behavior immediately after the eve ceremony of the 20th anniversary of May 18 in 2000. Citing former Assemblywoman Im Su-kyung's testimony, she described how Assemblyman Kim Min-seok had women on both sides at the pub, laughing and talking, seemingly unaware of her (Im Su-kyung's) entrance, thereby raising questions about his morality.

She argued that since national funds, which are public taxes, are used for compensation, it is appropriate for a national institution, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, to make the selection. She also demanded transparent disclosure regarding the various benefits provided, such as a 10% bonus point in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade civil service exams, reduced medical expenses at national and public hospitals, and free use of public parking lots.

She explained that while 200 seats are needed for expulsion from the National Assembly, the suspension of duties act can be passed with only 150 seats, led by the Democratic Party. She characterized the Democratic Party's attempt to suppress opposing forces using its majority seats as an act that undermines the fundamental principles of democracy, and warned against it.

She conveyed the seriousness of the problem, stating that most reporters were also unaware of this fact.

She criticized that a 10% bonus point in civil service exams, where success or failure can be determined by a mere 0.1 point difference, is a very significant privilege that undermines the transparency of the selection process.

Assemblywoman Lee Jin-sook stated that Assemblyman Kim Min-seok is attempting to expel her from the National Assembly. She continued to criticize the Democratic Party's political pressure, mentioning that while expulsion requires the consent of 200 National Assembly members, the suspension of duties act can be passed with only 150 seats, led by the Democratic Party.

This is interpreted as an intention to criticize the double standards regarding discussions related to May 18.
