Representative Jeong Cheong-rae Emphasizes “Lee Jae-myung Government's Success is Priority” at Roh Sa-mo Flash Mob

Representative Jeong Cheong-rae attended a Roh Sa-mo flash mob meeting held during the weekend holiday. This meeting was arranged to communicate with Representative Jeong Cheong-rae's supporters after the national convention and to discuss future plans.

This meeting, prepared by Lee Jin-hyun and others, targeted 'Team Jeong Cheong-rae' supporters, and Representative Jeong used the occasion to state his position on the current political situation.

This message was one of advocating for the government and emphasizing unity, unlike the confrontational or critical messages from hardliners within the party that conservative media outlets like JoongAng Ilbo, Chosun Ilbo, and Dong-A Ilbo had expected.

Writer Yoo called for building strength and expanding influence within the party rather than leaving it, suggesting a strategic approach to overcome the current situation.

This suggests there is a struggle for leadership within the democratic-progressive camp.

There was an atmosphere of sharing the sense of crisis that the decline in approval ratings for the Lee Jae-myung administration could have on the entire democratic-progressive camp, and discussing the need for a strategic response to the current situation.

This is interpreted as a strategy to maintain internal power and reclaim the mainstream position through the expansion of their internal faction, separate from their full support for the government's direction.

There is an analysis that unnecessarily creating friction after the national convention could lead to merely providing fodder for conservative media outlets like JoongAng Ilbo, Chosun Ilbo, and Dong-A Ilbo. The intention is to guard against the high possibility that, if this situation continues, Representative Jeong himself could be labeled as a new 'watermelon' (a term for a 'fake' reformist).

This is interpreted as a strategic choice to avoid actions that could be perceived as internal infighting, and to strengthen party unity to protect themselves from external attacks.
