Kiki Unboxes Hi-Life's Viral Snack Haul

These items have generated significant buzz, prompting content creator Kiki to conduct an unboxing and review. The total cost for her extensive haul of these trending products amounted to 700 NTD.

One such item incorporates TKK's signature black tea slushie flavor into a convenience store product. Kiki noted that the bread used in this collaboration item possessed a fluffy and thick texture, setting an initial impression for the unique flavor pairing.

She rated the sweetness level at an 8 to 8.5 out of 10, describing it as cloying. While the flavor did evoke the original TKK drink, the excessive sweetness made it less enjoyable as a sandwich.

Hi-Life also introduced Cadina TKK-flavored potato chips, which Kiki evaluated for their unique taste profile. Initially, the chips didn't strongly resemble the intended flavor, but upon further consumption, Kiki noted a distinct similarity to the bun of a gua bao, albeit with a greasy quality. She estimated the flavor accuracy to be around 70% to the target, and at a price of 59 NTD, she concluded that they were not ideal for daily consumption due to their intensity.

She praised the fragrancy of the soy sauce chicken, considering it quite respectable for a microwavable dish. The seasoning, however, was noted as saltier than standard versions, with Kiki rating its saltiness at 8.5 out of 10. The dish includes various ingredients such as sausage, chicken, egg, and vegetables.

The sweet potato cheese chicken sandwich received a rating of 7.5 out of 10 from Kiki, who highlighted its delicious flavor combination. She particularly enjoyed the pairing of the creamy sweet potato mash with the thick, juicy, and tender chicken cutlet. However, a significant drawback was the unpleasant texture of the hot lettuce after microwaving, which detracted from an otherwise flavorful sandwich.

Priced at 99 NTD, the dish contains 7-8 pieces of chicken tenderloin along with bell peppers and onions. While the sauce was well-seasoned, the microwaving process rendered the chicken meat dry and hard, which Kiki found to be a significant letdown for a main dish.

The Chinese-style seafood rice bowl was highly praised by Kiki, earning an 8.5 rating and a strong recommendation. Priced at 89 NTD, this meal impressed her with its restaurant-quality taste, especially for those who enjoy seafood rice. The dish is generously portioned, containing six shrimp, eight clams, napa cabbage, wood ear mushrooms, and carrots. Kiki particularly noted the well-cooked rice, which maintained its texture despite being soaked in sauce, adding to the overall convenience and flavor experience.

These chips were difficult to source, requiring Kiki to visit 12 different stores to find just two bags. She described the broccoli chips as very hard, similar to dried anchovies, while preferring the baby corn chips for their better flavor and texture. Ultimately, she rated them 6.5 out of 10, deeming them pricey compared to fresh street food options, and questioned their value at over 70 NTD a bag.

She highlighted the generous filling that bursts with every bite, noting its high quality. The taro paste was described as reminiscent of traditional birthday cake style, made with real, rich ingredients, and the roll itself possessed a pleasant, chewy, and bouncy texture.

The Rich Taro Roll received exceptional praise from Kiki, who rated it a nine out of ten. She emphasized the generous and thick taro filling that extended from end to end, making it a highly recommended item. Kiki found the taste to be incredibly satisfying, solidifying its place as one of her top picks from the Hi-Life haul.

Kiki gave the brown sugar cheddar milk pancake a nine out of ten, praising its unique combination of flavors and textures that made it perfect for an afternoon snack. She was particularly delighted by the hidden mochi inside, which added an unexpected chewiness. The overall texture was likened to McDonald's hotcakes, contributing to a delightful and surprising snacking experience.

The "Deeply Into You" pudding received an outstanding rating of 9.5 out of 10 from Kiki, who declared her deep affection for it. She described its soft texture as comparable to panna cotta, and highlighted the significant depth added by its thick raw milk sauce. Kiki was so impressed that she stated one would fall in love with it and desire to eat it repeatedly, positioning it as a restaurant-quality dessert unexpectedly found in a convenience store.

Kiki concluded her review by revealing her top three recommendations from the Hi-Life snack haul. Coming in at third place was the brown sugar cheddar milk pancake, appreciated for its surprising textures and flavor. The second spot was awarded to the Rich Taro Roll, praised for its generous and delicious filling. Finally, the Fresh Milk Pudding secured the top position, earning Kiki's highest recommendation among all the items reviewed.

Kiki gave a strong final verdict on the Fresh Milk Pudding, considering it a game-changer for convenience store desserts. She asserted that it overturns all previous notions about such items. In her opinion, it stands out as the best fresh milk pudding she has encountered in any convenience store to date, indicating its potential to be a star product for Hi-Life.

Kiki also shared her personal experience regarding the difficulty of finding some of the popular items, highlighting their inconsistent availability across Hi-Life locations. She recounted having to personally request the last available items from clerks, noting that she often had to beg them to sell her desired products because she couldn't find them elsewhere.
