Reports indicate that Prime Minister Andy Burnham is considering an early general election in the coming year. This strategic move aims to secure a direct personal mandate for potential tax increases, which are expected to address significant financial pressures facing the nation. Britain's annual disability benefits are projected to increase by an estimated £19 billion by the end of the decade, necessitating substantial fiscal adjustments.
