Controversy over PPP Local Chapter Head Replacement, Intra-Party Conflict Deepens

Criticism states that if the floor leader, who should unite the party leadership and strengthen the party's leadership around Chairman Jang Dong-hyeok, instead creates a process of differentiation from the party chairman, it will serve to split the party. These movements are criticized for focusing on internal power struggles rather than responding to the Lee Jae-myung administration, potentially harming the party's cohesion.

Although 13 out of 14 three-term lawmakers recently gathered, their actual opinions are divided, and there are limits to their real political capacity and power formation, according to an assessment. These gatherings are largely characterized by a convergence and divergence based on personal interests, such as nominations, and are focused more on internal survival strategies than on effective responses to the opposition party. In particular, criticism has been raised that lawmakers who neglected their constituencies or were lax in their fight against the Lee Jae-myung administration gathered to cover their weaknesses.
