Semiconductor Site Selection Allegations: Truth Must Be Revealed Through Hearing
Kim Ki-heung, People Power Party media spokesperson, raised suspicions about the relationship between Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung and semiconductor companies, strongly advocating for a parliamentary hearing. He mentioned allegations that the government first selected semiconductor sites and then handed them over to companies, pointing out that the possibility of Leader Lee Jae-myung's pressure influencing corporate management in this process cannot be ruled out.
Spokesperson Kim demanded the attendance of Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and SK Chairman Chey Tae-won as witnesses at the hearing. He stated that their attendance is expected to reveal the full extent of the semiconductor site selection allegations and prevent and deter future undisclosed pressure from power on corporations.
