Iveda Showcases AI-Driven Surveillance at HC Wainwright Conference

The event featured over 500 companies, covering diverse sectors such as crypto, life sciences, and energy.

The company's flagship product is IvedaAI, positioning it as a key global technology provider. Its core business model revolves around delivering intelligent solutions for monitoring and data analysis.

Iveda has been in operation for more than 20 years, a history the company deems crucial as it highlights a deliberate, not opportunistic, expansion into AI. David Lee noted that Iveda did not suddenly become an AI company merely because AI gained popularity. Instead, the company built its foundation on networks, cloud computing, and IoT devices before integrating advanced AI capabilities.

Iveda aims to transform existing cameras, sensors, and devices that organizations already possess into intelligent systems. These systems are designed to understand real-world events and aid human response. David Lee drew an analogy with generative AI, explaining that Iveda's technology helps systems understand the physical world in the same way generative AI understands language, providing actionable insights from existing infrastructure.

Iveda emphasizes that there is no need for the world to install billions of new surveillance devices, as the necessary infrastructure already exists globally. The primary challenge lies in the inability of humans to effectively monitor thousands of cameras simultaneously. AI technology provides a solution by continuously processing vast amounts of video data.

Iveda's AI continuously monitors environments, identifying events that truly matter, such as fires, the presence of unauthorized persons, or other safety concerns, instead of relying on human vigilance. This shift moves the focus from simply having "more cameras" to incorporating "more intelligence" into existing systems. The AI-driven approach enhances real-time response capabilities and overall situational awareness.

Iveda operates at the intersection of several large markets, with AI at its core. The company's technology is applicable across diverse sectors including smart cities, healthcare, retail, and energy. Iveda is extending its intelligent solutions to mobile and autonomous platforms, broadening its operational versatility beyond traditional surveillance to encompass a wide range of smart infrastructure applications.

A significant advantage of Iveda AI is its vendor-agnostic technology strategy, which is crucial in today's market. This approach allows customers to integrate Iveda's solutions without having to replace their current systems. Deployments can be made in the cloud, on-premise, or in a hybrid model, offering flexibility. The technology also addresses specific cybersecurity requirements, particularly important for government clients.

Traditional analytics merely inform when a specific event occurs, whereas natural language and vision models begin to explain what happened. Agentic AI takes this a step further by understanding events, determining subsequent actions, and helping to initiate responses, marking a significant departure from traditional video surveillance.

Iveda has invested in scalable infrastructure, featuring a multi-tenant Kubernetes architecture designed to support much larger enterprise deployments. This robust technical foundation ensures the system can handle significant demands. The company emphasizes that technology is only valuable if it can be effectively applied to solve real-world problems, making its infrastructure a practical asset.

In healthcare, it aids in identifying falls and other patient safety concerns. For energy and infrastructure, AI enables remote monitoring of environments where physical presence is costly and impractical. In retail, security cameras can be transformed into operational tools, while in public safety and smart cities, the same technology provides situational awareness and event identification across large areas.

Cerebro, envisioned as the "brains of everything," is becoming a unified command and control environment for Iveda's customers. This platform allows users to interact with intelligence derived from multiple Iveda technologies. Cerebro’s role is crucial for centralizing data and providing a cohesive interface for managing diverse AI-driven systems.

Iveda has learned over its 20-year history that building a large direct sales organization in every country is not necessary for global growth. Instead, the company focuses on forming relationships with local partners who already understand their markets and have established customer relationships. This strategy allows Iveda to bring its technology into opportunities that would otherwise be difficult for a company of its size to reach, simplifying global adoption.

Cerebro serves as the central command and control system. VMO provides intelligence for body-worn cameras, while Viewmaster offers AI-driven inspection capabilities. Level focuses on IoT monitoring, and Iveda Care along with RTLS (Real-Time Location System) enhance safety and location tracking. This integrated approach allows Iveda to deliver comprehensive, AI-powered solutions across diverse hardware and use cases.
