Kirk had long advocated for the concept of a midterm convention, believing it essential for sustaining political engagement beyond presidential election years.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) aims to build on Kirk's vision by using this convention to prevent mid-summer disengagement among voters, ensuring continued enthusiasm and active participation throughout the electoral cycle. His legacy continues to inspire efforts to empower local conservative movements.

These reforms, initially outlined by President Trump, are seen as vital for the nation's future direction.

The proposed legislation specifically seeks to mandate that social media influencers receiving payments from foreign governments disclose these financial arrangements. This update intends to bring greater transparency to online political discourse and prevent undisclosed foreign manipulation.

The bill has garnered bipartisan support, signaling a shared concern across the political spectrum regarding foreign interference. Its potential for unanimous backing in the Senate suggests a broad consensus on the need to fortify disclosure requirements in the digital era.

Luna's efforts reflect a broader push to ensure that all forms of foreign influence, particularly those leveraging new media platforms, are transparently reported to the American public. This aims to protect the integrity of domestic political and social conversations.
