US 10-Year Treasury Yield Touches 5% Intraday, Market Volatility Expands
This is interpreted as a signal that the Treasury yield is hovering around 5%, increasing the burden of high interest rates in the market. Currently, Treasury yields and the Nasdaq index show a synchronized movement, and this volatility is expected to persist until the November FOMC meeting. The market clearly showed a preference against small and medium-sized stocks as the high-interest rate burden grew.
Today, on my way here, it touched 5% once, but it dropped a bit during trading. So when it touched 5% and then dropped, I thought, 'Oh, it touched 5%, so there's a slight adjustment coming,' but then it quickly went back up. And just now, it touched 5% again and pulled back slightly, closing at 4.991.
