Kevin Sorbo shared a pivotal moment where he realized his life's purpose was divinely directed towards ministry, recalling a formative religious experience at age 13 when he met Billy Graham. The Angel Guild is a unique membership community comprising nearly 3 million people, offering more than just content consumption. Members possess veto power over content selection for the ecosystem, ensuring a user-driven approach. The founder and president, Jordan Harmon, cannot approve any project without the guild's prior vote, emphasizing the decentralized nature of their decision-making process.

Angel Guild's business philosophy draws inspiration from tech startups like Airbnb and Facebook, which were founded by individuals creating products for themselves—a concept called the 'user method'. Another significant influence is 'The Wisdom of Crowds,' a book that underpins the Angel Guild's theory: a community, when given the right framework, can make superior decisions compared to individual experts. This is further evidenced by game show data, such as 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,' where audience votes often prove more accurate than expert opinions.

This collaboration initially began with the sci-fi thriller 'The Shift' and has since expanded to include new projects such as 'Homestead,' 'The Last Rodeo,' and 'Angel and the Bad Man.' McDonough is highlighted as an ideal partner who understands Angel Guild's mission to produce high-quality stories while embedding desired values without compromise.

This long-term strategy aims to inspire a love for life and the world, counteracting the pervasive nihilism often found in current entertainment. By capturing the hearts and minds of young audiences through storytelling, Angel Studios seeks to instill excitement and positive values.
