Alex Stein Tackles the EDP445 Doc, Then Wayne Allyn Root's 17th Trump Interview

Stein opened his EDP445 segment by stating plainly that lolcows — people who are funny without trying to be — are what he considers newsworthy, and that he loves them.

After Hours is a different show than most on the network, and its subject matter is where the news value sits.

He listed other lolcows he has covered: Dark Side Phil and Wings of Redemption.

EDP445 he placed as one of the biggest lolcows of all time, and the documentary about him as one of the most well-made he has ever seen.

He described a scene from the film in raw terms — EDP naked on a toilet, his weight hiding his genitals — and tied it to the just-released documentary going viral.

EDP445 started out struggling financially, making videos complaining about the Philadelphia Eagles, and built millions of subscribers as an unfiltered online personality.

Stein identified Alex Rosen of the group Pedophile Poachers as the person who exposed EDP for illicitly sexting a minor.

The world does not like pedophiles, but EDP was never held accountable in any legal sense.

He was caught a second time, in a sting involving Gideon and another pedophile poacher named Skeeter Jean, and Stein says EDP admitted the crimes on camera.

Stein's position is that EDP should be in jail, calling him one of the most repugnant human beings in the world.

But the man's openness is also brutal and, in his words, a little bit endearing — an admission he hated to make.

He framed the audience response directly: you will not like EDP, but you will laugh at him, because he is a lolcow.

Stein made clear he was not defending EDP.

EDP has renal failure and goes to dialysis twice a week, a fact the documentary lays out in detail.

According to the film, without dialysis EDP would die on the third day.

He is supposed to lose weight but is shown constantly drinking Coca-Cola, saying on camera that he has kidney failure and is not supposed to be doing this while continuing to drink it.

Stein took that as evidence EDP is mildly crazy, though none of it excuses being a pedophile.

The name breaks down simply: EDP stands for the P-word used for cats, and 445 was his weight on the scale — 445 pounds.

That interview was the longest of the series at over 40 minutes.

Stein guessed at the topics — Iran and the Save Act — and called it a hardball conversation.

Root opened by noting that although the two men share a network, they had never met before, making this their first conversation.

Root described the format of his interviews with Trump as two friends talking, not a media hit.

That, in his account, is why the president 'always comes out with things they wouldn't do with the normal media because he feels at home with me, and he knows I'm not out to get him.'

Root said he tells Trump what he really thinks — something he noted most people do not do with him.

He named the one recurring disagreement between them: 'You and I agree on everything except the COVID vaccine.'

In his framing, 'they're not necessarily breaking the law even though we know they're cheating' — the cheating happens inside the rules.

That is why it is hard for Donald Trump to do anything about it: the legislation is already in place.

Root had just responded 'Correct. Always was. And it still is' to the claim that the election was rigged.

His example was Sophie Cunningham, whom he called beautiful, blonde, and white, and who in his telling brings in more fans than Caitlin Clark or any other player ever has.

That is why they are seething with hatred and jealousy.

He extended the argument to personal appearance: liberals in his account are all kind of ugly, while conservative women are beautiful.

He tied it to resentment of success — they don't have money so they hate successful people, they don't have looks so they hate good-looking people.

His conclusion was that it's 'a whole party of freaks who never made it out of third grade,' adding that everyone makes fun of them.

Real America's Voice was set to re-run it in different time slots throughout the day and night over the coming week.

Root also planned to run it on his America's Top 10 Countdown over the weekend.

He directed viewers to rootforamerica.com for his TV and radio shows beyond America Speaks, and gave the call-in line 1-800-347-ROOT for voicemails at any hour.

Callers had until then been complimentary, and he appreciates it.

His reasoning for playing the negative ones: you can't get better unless you hear some constructive criticism — though not all the negative calls met that bar.

He gave the call-in number as 214-216-6169 and reminded listeners the show is available as a podcast wherever podcasts are found.

He invited dating advice, life advice, complaints, concerns or compliments.

The first call he played came from a listener who dislikes his Olive Garden breadstick jokes.

Stein's response was that he never claimed he and AOC actually did it, but he acknowledged insinuating it and apologized if it offended.

The next caller described the things that come out of Stein's mouth as shameful, classless and degrading to humanity.

That caller told him 'you're really hurting our country' and asked him to wake up.

Stein is not going to do anything different.

He cracked a joke about his own childhood: he broke a wooden crib as a baby, was given a metal crib like a cage, and hit his head very hard as a child.

A caller reminded Stein that he had described the show as a family show, then cited the breadsticks and the talk of sticking things into people's rear ends, and told him somebody ought to shove something up his.

Stein's counter was to point at the same language coming back at him: he was being scolded for discussing his 'allegedly' romance with AOC and using breadsticks to spice things up, and in the next breath told to stick something up his butt.

He counted three upset women in a row — 'that's three for three upset ladies'.

He singled out the third caller as an African-American woman and said he was upset to have triggered her, claiming African-American women usually have a good sense of humor.

All three were so mad about the breadsticks.

In the caller's account, she walked in with a mask on, kept it on all night at a nice hotel room at the MGM, and he only realized who she was when she took it off.

Stein's response was sarcastic: 'my sweet sweet sweet angel AOC'.

He called the caller a terrible person and told him never to talk about AOC in that manner, saying the only two people allowed to discuss her sexually are him and her fiancé.

He then said they were blocking the caller, plugged the call-in number 214-216-6169, and admitted he likes the negative calls — 'maybe I'm a glutton for punishment'.

He teased the next segment: AOC is freezing her eggs at 37.

Stein opened the segment by calling AOC his favorite big booty Latina and saying she is hot hot hot like a tamale.

She has been with her fiancé for over four years, he noted, then speculated about the fiancé.

He predicted she will be the Democratic presidential nominee in 2028.

His stated criticism was blunt: if she actually wanted to have kids, he could get her pregnant in two seconds — not with a breadstick, but with something else.

His read on the egg-freezing post was that it is performance art and rage baiting, on the grounds that everyone is talking about it.

He said he appreciates that she is doing it publicly and joked about stealing the eggs, hiring a surrogate on Craigslist, and using Nicolas Cage.

He noted she currently has him blocked on Twitter and joked it is so her fiancé Riley doesn't get jealous.

AOC says in the clip that her insurance covers not one penny of the process and that it doesn't go toward her deductible.

She breaks the cost into two sources: the medicine, and the clinic and procedure.

Some places are very expensive, she says, and she is going to a place in New York City that designs options for women without insurance coverage.

Her stated all-in total is probably between $8,000 and $9,000.

Stein's reaction was to compare the process to Jurassic Park and say it doesn't sound human.

He then offered to split the cost: 'send me a Venmo request, AOC, and I will take care of 4,500 bucks'.

Stein said he didn't know if there was enough time but played what he called a quick snippet of an African-American parade in Chicago.

His comment was that it looks like a fun summer in Chicago is happening right now, and that he needs to get up there.

He added that he knows a lot of people have been making fun of the clip, but to him it looked like a fun party.
