Justice Minister Jeong Seong-ho's resignation was accepted six days after being submitted, citing reasons such as deteriorating health. The primary reason for his resignation is reported to be poor health. Minister Jeong is said to have already completed his key tasks related to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) and the Anti-Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO).

Some criticize Kim's remarks as advocating speculation and a retreat from reform.
