Japan: Widening Wealth Gap Amidst Apparent Economic Boom
While the Japanese economy shows high employment rates and generally favorable economic indicators, inflation caused by the weak yen is imposing a significant burden on ordinary citizens.
In particular, it is said that the actual lives of ordinary people, especially low-income children whose nutritional status is deteriorating, have become much worse than in the past, facing threats to their livelihoods. The current wealth gap in Japan is more severe than during the peak of the US economy in the 1950s.
