Manila states that a Chinese Coast Guard ship repeatedly maneuvered dangerously around a Philippine fisheries vessel before deliberately ramming it. Conversely, Beijing alleges the Philippine ship ignored warnings, changed course, and accelerated across the Chinese vessel's path. Publicly available footage does not capture the precise moment of impact from all angles, making it difficult to definitively reconcile these conflicting narratives and further fueling the dispute.
