Chad's President Urges School Facility Improvement

At Braham Al-Zaidi School, the President meticulously inspected classrooms and dormitory facilities under construction and instructed school officials to promptly remedy facility defects to prepare for immediate opening for the new academic year. He then visited Félix Éboué High School to hear about academic operations and current challenges, taking time to gain a better understanding of the overall education system.

Through this visit, President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno personally witnessed the difficult reality of the educational sites. Unfinished buildings, overgrown schoolyards, and structures that had not been renovated for the past 20 years were still neglected, and laboratories and libraries were empty, confirming severe deterioration of the educational environment.

The President pointed out that as schools are the foundation for nurturing future leaders, urgent improvements to the poor facilities are necessary to ensure a smooth opening for the new academic year.

The President emphasized that improving the educational environment has limitations with government responsibility alone and requires the voluntary participation of citizens both domestically and internationally. He requested that all responsible parties, businesspeople, and general citizens contribute to rebuilding educational infrastructure in their own ways.

This proposal aims to elevate educational facility improvement into a national unity movement, urging the private sector to participate in improving educational facilities with love and dedication from their respective positions.

He also urged teachers to discard egoism based on their sense of mission and to make collective efforts for national development.

Furthermore, he interacted with students by shooting free throws with them at the Félix Éboué High School sports facilities, demonstrating a commitment to fostering connections with the educational environment and delivering a positive message to students.
