DP TV's Crushing Defeat... Only Kim Eo-jun Hit the Jackpot

The number of concurrent viewers for Democratic Party TV's first broadcast recorded about 50,000. This is significantly lower compared to Kim Eo-jun's News Factory, which records hundreds of thousands at the same time. In terms of views, Kim Eo-jun's broadcast recorded 1.37 million views, while Democratic Party TV recorded 490,000, not even reaching 500,000, showing nearly a three-fold difference. A panelist stated, "Kim Eo-jun had 1.37 million, while Democratic Party TV had 490,000 views, not even reaching 500,000. So, there's about a three-fold difference. And usually, when it first opens, today Kim Min-seok was also on. There's what you call 'opening buzz,' but wow, isn't this really losing face?" evaluating that Democratic Party TV lost face.

The situation itself, where a political party and a YouTuber compete for YouTube viewership, is unusual. A panelist explained Kim Eo-jun's unique viewer mobilization method, stating, "I saw people watching Kim Eo-jun's broadcast by mobilizing all their cell phones, tablets, and laptops simultaneously. I've never seen that before. This is the first time I've seen a political party and a YouTuber compete over YouTube viewers."

Kim Eo-jun's broadcast still boasted significant influence, recording 50 million won in Super Chat. The assessment is that Rep. Kim Min-seok's actions were perceived as a 'frame of power oppressing a broadcaster,' which ironically resulted in Kim Eo-jun's momentum rising even further. A panelist said, "The structure where Kim Min-seok, a figure of power, oppresses Kim Eo-jun, a broadcaster, is already established. Kim Min-seok ended up boosting the very political rival he wanted to destroy."

This is interpreted as a strategy to rally support by using issues that could damage the Democratic Party internally, much like Solomon's judgment. Kim Eo-jun attempts to amplify his influence by highlighting internal conflicts within the Democratic Party in this manner. A panelist explained, "There was a very interesting scene on Kim Eo-jun's broadcast today, where he said to protect Yong Hye-in. It's like a Solomon's judgment, suggesting that the Democratic Party should and can be damaged."

This is interpreted as a strategy to rally his supporters. The possibility of linking the past election fraud frame to rallies in Olympic Park is also being raised. A panelist emphasized the impact of Kim Eo-jun's remarks on public perception, saying, "Kim Eo-jun is saying he's very afraid of being impeached. He might even be impeached. He's twisting people's perceptions in that direction. Later, won't Kim Eo-jun appear at Olympic Park?"

This implies that many viewers visited simply for entertainment or observation. A panelist emphasized the importance of analyzing initial viewers, stating, "My algorithm shows me broadcasts that people who watch similar broadcasts to me watch. That means, Democratic Party TV is happy about 40,000 viewers today. Right-wingers might even remove you. Half of those 50,000 or 60,000 people could be right-wing."

It has been suggested that Democratic Party TV's 'opening buzz' is at risk of becoming an 'opening flop.' Critics point out that if initial viewers are not captivated, their departure could accelerate. Despite the importance of entertainment and tension in broadcasting, Democratic Party TV failed to meet these factors, leading to critical opinions even within left-wing communities. A panelist commented, "This 'opening buzz' can actually turn into an 'opening flop.' Because when people who wouldn't normally come show up, you have to captivate them. But the taste is terrible. The broadcast tension couldn't be any lower."

Problems with Democratic Party TV's low tension and lack of entertainment have been pointed out. In particular, Rep. Kim Min-seok volunteering as the first guest is evaluated as having been counterproductive. There are criticisms that this was a political misjudgment, as even existing supporters did not respond positively. A panelist predicted the failure of Democratic Party TV, stating, "This is going to be a complete bust from the start. That's how it's going to be."

This is believed to have negatively impacted the initial popularity of Democratic Party TV. A panelist briefly mentioned, "Park Jie-won canceled."

Negative remarks were made about figures within the Democratic Party, such as Reps. Jeong Cheong-rae and Choi Min-hee. In particular, differences in opinion within the Democratic Party regarding the protection of Rep. Yong Hye-in were evident. A contrasting stance between Kim Eo-jun's broadcast and former Rep. Shin Hyun-young was also observed. A panelist mentioned the internal conflict, stating, "Choi Min-hee said Yong Hye-in must be protected."

Analysis suggests that Rep. Kim Min-seok's Democratic Party TV will find it difficult to attract existing viewers of Kim Eo-jun's broadcast. Instead, it is pointed out that it could erode the share of existing pro-Lee Jae-myung YouTube channels, essentially cannibalizing the pie. This means that its expandability could be hampered by the structure of sharing the risks associated with Chairman Lee Jae-myung. A panelist pointed out the structural limitations of Democratic Party TV, saying, "If DP TV comes in, then people will watch one less of the existing pro-faction, pro-Lee Jae-myung YouTube channels. There will be absolutely no expansion."

A critical observation was made regarding the interpretative methods within the left-wing camp. Internal conflicts within the political sphere are perceived as a 'win-win situation' by outside observers, offering critical enjoyment. A panelist expressed a view of finding the political conflict situation interesting, saying, "Isn't there anything as enjoyable as watching someone else's family quarrel?"

Park Kwang-bae expressed happiness about appearing on PenNMike, stating that he would continue to do his part. In response, the host offered Park Kwang-bae a regular appearance starting next week, announcing plans to expand the program with a four-person system. Park Kwang-bae said, "Ah, actually, I was so happy to appear on PenNMike at Jeongdong Jipil. I will continue to be Park Kwang-bae, doing my part in my place."

'MZ Resistance' aims to boost the 'momentum' of criticism, beyond just laughing with viewers to forget pain. Its concept is to make political issues entertaining while not losing sight of their essence, even mentioning a shift in national governance and an early end to the administration to save a failing country. Sunwoo Yoon-ho and Park Kwang-bae explained the broadcast's purpose, saying, "It's not about us laughing heartily and just forgetting the pain. It's about building momentum. With this momentum, we persuade those around us with the criticisms of Lee Jae-myung that we discuss here."

This is an afternoon concept that contrasts with the seriousness of morning programs (Heo Hyun-joon, Choi Dae-hyun), emphasizing the identity of the 3 PM broadcast that has continued for four years. Sunwoo Yoon-ho revealed the broadcast's motto, saying, "My broadcast's motto is to make political current affairs issues fun and refreshing, so you wake up when you're feeling sleepy from the afternoon slump, and we don't lose sight of the essence. We bring everything and break it down for you."

Gifts will be given to 200 participants whose videos are submitted by September 10th. Sunwoo Yoon-ho expressed his gratitude, saying, "2 million subscribers is not just PenNMike's record, but a record made together with our subscribers. We will return with even better broadcasts to repay the trust you have shown us."

They are offering a '4+2 event' where customers receive two additional boxes when purchasing four boxes of the extract, providing benefits to viewers. Sunwoo Yoon-ho explained, "We have a special event prepared by PenNMike. It's a 4+2 event where if you buy four boxes of this Chihyang Dalim-aek, we'll give you two more boxes."
