Allegations of Basic Income Party's Provincial Offices Violating Requirements and Suspicious Use of National Subsidies
Jump to 1:39:20Assemblyman Joo Jin-woo alleged that 6 out of 10 provincial and municipal offices of the Basic Income Party were structured as farms or apartments, violating the Political Parties Act's requirements for provincial party offices. Consequently, suspicions are growing regarding the use of 150 million won in public funds that flowed to the Basic Income Party this year. Assemblyman Joo pointed out that if the party failed to secure five or more legitimate provincial party offices, it would be a clear violation of the law, and stated that he plans to request an investigation by the National Election Commission and the police.
