Modern Church's Fivefold Ministry, Loss of Original Mission
The five offices recorded in the Bible—evangelist, teacher, prophet, pastor, and apostle—have each lost their intricate missions. Evangelists are consumed by self-promotion, teachers teach human doctrines, and prophets convey their own thoughts instead of God's will. While pastors abandon their flock and lead them to follow themselves, apostles settle for their titles rather than building the church.
Evangelists are more preoccupied with exalting themselves than leading souls to the church, and teachers teach their own doctrines rather than God's.
Prophets convey their own thoughts instead of God's will, pastors lead the flock to follow themselves instead of caring for them, and apostles settle for their titles instead of building the church.
