The song's lyrics express resentment toward someone who has left, and repeatedly ask God to judge that person.

The lyrics then continue to resent the person who set the house on fire and left, and express the longing to find them again.

Alongside a line asking why one would build a house that will return to earth, the lament for the departed one repeats as the song goes on.

The song conveys the idea that the soul leaves the body and nothing remains in the world. It goes on to say that family and friends are all left behind.

Describing the body decaying and scattering and lying in dark earth, the message that wealth and bonds are fleeting is repeated.

In the song, a person is compared to a two-wheeled bicycle. A line follows saying that a cart running over the wind needs no oil.

It ends with the line that a person who uses it like a bicycle rusts when worn out, conveying the finitude of body and life through metaphor.

The speaker sings of shedding tears without eating or sleeping. The expression that the sun and moon are witnesses stresses the depth of love.

The lyrics insist that the speaker never set the fire and lament that the judge did not help. The loss of land and property is repeated.

The song recalls a love in which two people bound their hearts in each other's eyes. Yet a sentiment follows that only wounds remain after the parting.

The speaker chides themselves for losing wisdom and reason, leaving only greed. A passage follows calling on the name of Allah and seeking salvation.
