Democratic Party Strongly Criticizes Han Dong-hoon and Yoon Suk-yeol Administration… Calls for Re-investigation of Channel A Incident and Prosecutorial Reform

The Democratic Party pointed out Representative Han Dong-hoon's attitude toward Representative Noh Jong-myeon and demanded profound apologies. Especially regarding the Channel A incident, it raised controversy over Representative Han Dong-hoon's non-indictment and called for a re-investigation. The speaker mentioned that Representative Han Dong-hoon's iPhone password remained uncracked for 22 months, emphasizing that this case, where South Korea's forensic technology stopped at Representative Han Dong-hoon, must be reinvestigated.

The speaker diagnosed that the Democratic Party's declining approval ratings were due to one-sided media criticism and divisive reporting after the party convention. Accordingly, they emphasized the necessity of media reform for the general election and stated that the Democratic Party would move forward as 'The Democratic Party that Changes My Life' while also pursuing media reform.

Representative Park Seon-won emphasized the establishment of discipline in public service after the Eulji latihan, pointing out that even with the President's leadership, if individual ministries do not respond adequately, achieving results will be difficult. He emphasized that the right for disabled people to move where they want, when they want, and receive fair compensation is not a special privilege or favor, but a basic right.

The government and ruling party held a high-level consultative meeting yesterday to discuss real estate market stability and housing supply measures. Key contents included promoting the transfer of redevelopment and reconstruction permit authority for projects with fewer than 500 households to local basic government heads, and preparing supplementary measures that consider on-site acceptance, such as expanding the recognition of unavoidable non-residential one-household, one-home situations.

Representative Lee Seong-yoon referred to the appellate court's acquittal of former lawmaker Noh Woong-rae, criticizing that the ugly truth of Yoon Suk-yeol's political prosecution's fabrication and framing investigations is being exposed. He explained that the court excluded illegally collected evidence, strongly raising issues with the political prosecution's fabricated indictments and illegal investigations.

Representative Lee Seong-yoon pointed out that due to the prosecution's political investigations, a citizen's life can be unjustly ruined, yet no one takes responsibility or shows remorse. He emphasized that this situation is a clear reason why the prosecution must be reformed decisively, and he stressed the necessity of holding prosecutorial officials accountable.

Representative Lee Seong-yoon questioned whether Representative Han Dong-hoon, as a former Minister of Justice, believes he bears no responsibility for the prosecution's illegal investigations. He strongly criticized Representative Han Dong-hoon's claim, as someone who even served as Minister of Justice, that instead of respecting court rulings, illegally obtained recording materials excluded even in court should be disclosed, calling it a 'double standard'. He also pointed out Representative Han Dong-hoon's past refusal to disclose his iPhone password, highlighting his hypocritical stance.

Representative Han Min-soo emphasized that the Seoul Central District Court's appellate division again acquitted former lawmaker Noh Woong-rae of charges including violation of the Political Funds Act on the 21st, similar to the first trial. He reminded that Representative Han Dong-hoon was the very person who refused to provide his iPhone password to the end to destroy evidence when he was investigated for the 'allegation of instigating a complaint'. He criticized that for such a person to demand the disclosure of recording materials that were excluded as illegally obtained evidence even in court is a shameless double standard, violating warrant principles and the spirit of the Constitution.
