Critical Blow to Saudi Oil Exports, Long-Term Recovery Concerns Grow
The starting point of Saudi Arabia's east-west pipeline was attacked, causing critical damage to Saudi Arabia's oil export capacity. Unlike simple pipeline repair, the pump facilities that allow crude oil to flow as petroleum were directly attacked, and it is expected to take a considerable amount of time for normalization.
This attack shows Iran's intention to expand its front through Houthi rebel involvement, and clearly revealed a lack of intelligence and preparedness from the US and Saudi Arabia.
