Life Under Political Persecution in Venezuela
Four months ago, agents of the Venezuelan regime raided Leopoldo López's home, destroying property and killing his dogs. These acts followed his public support for a military operation against Nicolás Maduro.
The regime also stripped him of his nationality, a move prohibited by Venezuela's constitution. López, who previously served as Mayor of Caracas, has faced a life of political persecution, including surviving three assassination attempts.
