Dad Finally Paints His Fence on Day 35

This marked the 35th day of the ongoing home improvement endeavors.

To prevent paint from drifting onto neighboring properties, plastic sheets were deployed as a precautionary measure, allowing the use of a spray painter without concern for overspray.

Protecting the concrete from potential splatter required a shift to manual application for the lower fence sections, a task he persuaded his wife to assist with before jokingly celebrating the division of labor with a handstand. "Okay. Well, hand a hand job it is," he noted.

The father enlisted his wife's help, humorously coercing her into tackling the more challenging lower portions. He then performed a handstand to comically celebrate the successful division of labor.

Older sections of the fence proved particularly absorbent, described as "drinking" the paint rapidly.

To protect adjacent white fence panels from overspray, a plastic wall was erected.

A decision was made to apply a very thick second coat to these thirsty areas, aiming to avoid the necessity of a third or fourth application.

"This is it done. Look, it's still drying cuz again, I've put on like 10 coats at once with the second coat," he explained, as his wife took over the lower tidying work.

The father acknowledged gaining proficiency with the sprayer as he progressed through the project, and jokingly assigned his wife the remaining task of tidying up the lower fence, suggesting a completion date in "2028".
