A bombshell report from the House Judiciary Committee has brought to light allegations that ActBlue allowed foreign money to flow through its accounts. Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar publicly criticized President Trump's immigration enforcement efforts, stating that some have gone too far. She claimed that in July, 50% of the 50,000 detained individuals had no criminal record. Salazar urged Trump to pursue a more dignified immigration policy rather than mass deportations, arguing that the current rhetoric alienates Hispanic voters who supported his administration in 2024.

He characterized Salazar's call for "dignified" treatment for undocumented individuals as a thinly veiled plea for amnesty. Del Cueto also highlighted that targeted individuals are often apprehended while associating with other undocumented persons, complicating the distinction between criminal and non-criminal status.

Art Del Cueto, a law enforcement expert, clarified that detaining non-targeted individuals during operations is a standard procedure, likening it to routine police traffic stops. He explained that if officers stop a vehicle pursuing a suspect for a serious crime and find other individuals in the vehicle also committing offenses, all individuals must be arrested. This practice applies to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations as well, denying allegations of a "personal vendetta" against migrants by law enforcement.
