Tesla Cybercab Launches in Austin

According to Tesla North, as of September 3rd, 420 vehicles are registered under Tesla Robotaxi LSC in the Texas official automated vehicle registration system. This includes 375 Model Ys and 45 purpose-built Cybercabs. While the actual number of concurrent passenger service vehicles has not been separately disclosed, the number 45 is interpreted as a signal that an operational base is being established, beyond a mere technology demo.
