CEO Han Gyu-soo: “Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, Next Week is the Last Chance for Low-Price Buying”

CEO Han Gyu-soo questioned whether the current market correction is "too excessive," and diagnosed that investors feel frustrated not by the correction itself, but because "too many stock groups are showing sluggish trends." He added that in this market situation, only Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are leading the rebound and showing strength.

CEO Han Gyu-soo explained that if Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix rise further and the index increases, there is a clear possibility of laggards rising together. However, he took a cautious stance, stating that "whether those laggards will actually emerge still needs more time to observe," indicating it is too early to determine the market trend. He reiterated that the market is currently centered on large-cap semiconductor stocks.

CEO Han Gyu-soo emphasized concentrated investment, stating that to profit from stock investments, "ten reliable stocks are enough," rather than many. He defined semiconductors as "essential leading stocks that drive the index's rise" and named Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix as key stocks. He advised focusing on trading these stocks, adding that it is best to exclude volatile semiconductor material, component, and equipment stocks, or bio stocks.

CEO Han Gyu-soo emphasized that Samsung Electronics rose 40,000 won from 200,000 won to 280,000 won, saying "it's already up 40%." He also explained that SK Hynix rose 25% from 1,300,000 won to 1,730,000 won. He analyzed that these large-cap semiconductor stocks are showing positive technical uptrends, such as a golden cross and a shift to a direct array. This means that the two stocks are maintaining a solid upward trend, he added.

CEO Han Gyu-soo explained that in a bull market, the stocks that lead the market account for only "1% to at most 3%" of the total, and "now, it's not 1% but 0.1% of stocks that are leading the market." He advised that investors can only make a profit by selecting and concentrating on "only 0.5% of stocks that are moving up" rather than trading many stocks. This emphasizes the importance of a strategy that focuses investment capabilities on a limited number of leading stocks.

CEO Han Gyu-soo stated that as the strong market centered on semiconductor stocks continues, he "sees a very high possibility of other laggards emerging." However, he urged investors to "necessarily increase their interest in these stocks" because "in the worst case, there is a clear possibility of a market where only Samsung Electronics and Hynix go up." This suggests the need to maintain continuous interest and investment in large-cap semiconductor stocks while also considering the possibility of market changes.

CEO Han Gyu-soo emphasized that "next week, to not miss the leading stocks, you need to respond more actively," and stated that he would "implement a more aggressive buying strategy starting Monday." He added that signs of a full foreign inflow would appear after the index rises.

CEO Han Gyu-soo emphasized the positive momentum in the semiconductor industry, noting the upcoming Nvidia earnings announcement, Samsung Electronics' 15% foundry price increase, and a "whopping 200% increase" in semiconductor exports. He explained that semiconductor companies are "absolutely undervalued relative to their earnings," and that strong DRAM and NAND prices and improved earnings are continuing. He also expressed optimism about the semiconductor industry, stating that there are "no negative factors," such as strong semiconductor earnings in August and imminent Q3 earnings announcements.

CEO Han Gyu-soo revealed that SK Hynix is preparing a shareholder return policy of "a whopping 40 trillion" won, and Samsung Electronics also "over 100 trillion" won. He emphasized that share buybacks and cancellations have a more positive effect on stock prices than dividends, stating that "share buybacks and share cancellations are strong positive factors that lead to stock price increases."
