Lee Jae-myung Government Approval Rating Plummets 9%, Negative Evaluations Spread Across All Age Groups
Jump to 1:12According to a Research View survey conducted from August 29-31 among 1,000 adults aged 18 and over nationwide, the Lee Jae-myung government received a negative evaluation of 61.1%. Positive evaluations were only 36.2%, an 8.4 percentage point drop compared to the July survey.
The defection of support from those in their 40s and 50s was particularly pronounced, with negative evaluations deepening across all age groups and regions. The decline in approval was evident in metropolitan areas, Yeongnam, and Honam, indicating a deepening overall distrust in the administration.
This sharp drop in approval ratings appears to be the result of multiple adverse factors accumulating, leading to stronger public opposition. The rapid decline in government approval is expected to place a significant burden on state affairs.
