“Flavorless Hearing, Insult to the People” Criticism Raised

Strong criticism has been raised against the hearing format, which proceeded with only Democratic Party of Korea Assemblyman Kim Seung-won in attendance, calling it a “flavorless hearing.” The host sarcastically remarked that they planned to spend 10 hours with Assemblyman Kim Seung-won sitting alone, saying, "We'll go without anyone else."

The hearing was likened to soups with ingredients such as galbi-tang, gom-tang, and ugeoji-tang, and it was pointed out that the current hearing was like paying for a meal and only being given thin broth. This was a strong denunciation of the superficial operation of the meeting.

The host expressed strong regret over the dismissive attitude towards the public, stating, “They couldn't say such things unless they considered the public to be worse than crayfish, carp, or frogs.”

Citing remarks by Kim Ho-jun and Professor Jin Joong-kwon, it was argued that the ruling party's approval ratings need to fall further for a change in attitude. The host expressed a critical view, saying, “They won't come to their senses even if they see approval ratings in the 20% range within a month.”

This reflects the perception that the ruling party does not take the current situation seriously, and a greater sense of crisis is needed for any meaningful change.
