"Any accusation of illegal activities, whether said by a politician or published by a media outlet, is not only untrue, it's grossly defamatory, and it is the sort of misinformation that puts the safety of charity staff and volunteers, at risk."

"I think what's happened here is that officials from the home office from border force and from the French government and our sniveling politicians never ever thought that journalists like me or citizen journalists on the ground or passionate patriotic Brits would turn out to be so well organized."
